Nieto Moto3 rider Albert Arenas is currently undergoing treatment in intensive care following a cycling accident which left him with lacerated spleen.
The youngster suffered trauma to the lower right side of his chest in the incident - details of which are scant - which also saw a fracture of the sixth right costal arch (an arch formed by the medial margin of the cartilages of false ribs and one true rib) and various abrasions.
"On Monday night Arenas underwent a procedure overseen by Dr Muxart that involved the embolisation of the bleeding vessels in order to avoid the necessitation of a spleen removal. Arenas will be kept in the Intensive Care Unit for between 24 and 48 hours," said a team statement.
Arenas will miss this weekend's Argentina MotoGP round.
