Brian Uriate will compete with Red Bull KTM Ajo full-time in 2026 and will compete in the Portuguese and Valencia Grand Prix with the team.
After his massive Sighting Lap collision at the Malaysian Grand Prix, Jose Antonio Rueda will miss the final two rounds of the 2025 Moto3 World Championship.
The Red Bull KTM Ajo rider claimed the 2025 Moto3 title at the Indonesian Grand Prix and is already confirmed for the Red Bull KTM Ajo Moto2 squad in 2026.
With the Spaniard now recovering after his right-hand surgery, it has been confirmed that the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup and JuniorGP Champion, Brian Uriate, will step in to replace Rueda.
Uriate has already signed for the Red Bull KTM Ajo Moto3 squad for the 2026 season, but his time with the Finnish team will begin this weekend at the Portuguese Grand Prix.
This will not be the Spaniards debut in the Moto3 World Championship as he replaced David Munoz at the Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP for the Australian and Malaysian Grand Prix.
During his two replacement rides for the German team, Uriate finished 19th at Phillip Island and then scored points with a ninth-place finish at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit.
However, he will now begin his time with his new team early and will get a head start ahead of his full-time rookie season in 2026.
The Spaniard will now be replaced at the Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP squad by Irish rider Casey O'Gorman, who will complete his second stint as a replacement rider in 2025, ahead of his full-time Moto3 debut in 2026 with SIC58 Squadra Corse.
