Britain’s Jake Dixon has completed his first Moto2 test of 2019 and says he is learning more and more about what he needs to do every time he exits pitlane.
The former BSB star, who will begin his first full year as a GP racer at Losail, is getting to grips with the Triumph-engined KTM and has another five days at Jerez to look forward to.
“We tried so much and changed a lot of things to understand the direction we need to go in, the feeling is improving, my riding style is adapting and I do feel that there is more to come in both the bike and myself,” said Dixon.
“We have another five days of testing Jerez so I will be able to work more on that. As the bike changes and I get more comfortable with the feeling, my riding style changes also, putting my body in a better position on the bike.
“I am getting a greater understanding with the feeling of the bike, it is great to have time with the team also understanding how we all work together which is fantastic. I keep learning each time I ride, and that to me is what this year is about. We have a base setting now to go to Jerez with, and I am feeling ready and excited to get back on my Angel Nieto Moto2 bike again.”
