Ducati MotoGP team manager Vito Guareschi has tipped Scott Redding to be a force within MotoGP not only because of his speed but also due to the fact he is rapidly outgrowing machinery in the smaller classes.
Guareschi, who also doubles as one of Ducati's test riders, has called for a generational change in the blue riband series and wants a raft of younger riders coming into MotoGP.
"We need a generational change in MotoGP, Moto2 and has a few strong young. I really like Scott Redding. In Moto2 he suffers from his physique, but I think it could be very fast on a MotoGP. I also hope that the arrival of the CRT will allow young people to ride some class," he said.
