This weekend, Enea Bastianini will make his MotoGP debut at the Automotodrom Brno after having previous success in the junior class.
After missing the German Grand Prix due to appendicitis, Enea Bastianini will be back on track this weekend with the Red Bull KTM Tech3 squad.
The Italian rider will make his MotoGP debut at the Automotodrom Brno, but has had previous success at the Czech Republic Grand Prix in the Moto2 and Moto3 classes.
Bastianini has won at Brno once during the 2020 Moto2 World Championship and has had three further podiums across Moto2 and Moto3.
"I feel much better," Bastianini confirmed.
"It was really tough for me to remain in bed for so long and be unable to join the team at the German Grand Prix, but I gave myself the time to recover properly in order to arrive in Brno in good shape.
"I am excited to reunite with the team and get back to work! It will be the first time for me on a MotoGP bike in Brno, and for many of us to be fair. It is going to be interesting to see how we manage the weekend!"
Nicolas Goyon, Red Bull KTM Tech3 Team Manager, added: "The last race of the first half of the season will be held at the Brno circuit, as MotoGP returns to Czechia for the first time since 2020.
"This event used to be one of the busiest rounds of the year, so we are expecting many supporters this weekend. It will have a special taste for the KTM squad as our bike is the last winner in Brno, with Brad Binder taking the win in 2020.
"Enea Bastianini was released from hospital last weekend, and he is now fully focused on getting back to full shape for this weekend. We will of course have to understand his physical condition, and if all the lights are green, he will carry on the job initiated in Mugello and Assen."
