Eyesight problems rule Marquez out of Jerez Moto2 test

Spanish Moto2 wunderkind Marc Marquez has been ruled out of the upcoming Moto2 test at Jerez as his sight, although improving, is still not good enough to ride on track with other people.

The RepsolCaixa rider, who has been suffering with double vision since the massive get-off he suffered at Sepang, underwent a further examination by Dr. Jordi Arruga yesterday to evaluate the damage and it has not recovered quickly enough.

“As the doctors said, we cannot estimate how much time will Marc need to be completely recovered, although the evolution of the injury has been positive, as Dr. Arruga informed us. So right now we need to be patient," said team manager Emilio Alzamora.
