After an accident on Friday afternoon, Fabio Di Giannantonio has been ruled out of the Austrian Grand Prix.
Fabio Di Giannantonio has been ruled out of the remainder of the Austrian Grand Prix. The Italian rider crashed in the Friday afternoon Practice session and has been diagnosed with a dislocated left shoulder.
The Italian rider crashed at Turn eight when his Ducati became unsettled on the kerbs whilst changing direction. Subsequently, Di Giannantonio rolled through the gravel where he dislocated his shoulder.
After being checked over by the Medical staff on site he was sent off to the Judenberg hospital for a further check-up. After these check-ups, he was officially declared unfit.
The next round of the MotoGP Championship is not until the end of the month. This gives the #49 two weeks to recover from his injuries.
