A return to the Sprint Race podium has rejuvenated Fabio Quartararo ahead of the Czech Republic Grand Prix.

Last time out at the German Grand Prix, Fabio Quartararo secured his first Sprint Race podium of the season as he finished third on Saturday.

The Frenchman backed up his good result on the Sunday with a fourth-place position in the Grand Prix around the Sachsenring.

After a poor run of form, a return to the Sprint podium and the top five in a Grand Prix was needed for the 2021 MotoGP World Championship.

Quartararo is now motivated for further success as MotoGP returns to the Czech Republic for the first time since 2020.

The Automotodrom Brno has not been a successful track for Quartararo in the past, as his best result across all classes was a seventh place in 2019 and 2020.

However, with the new asphalt at the iconic circuit, he is hopeful that the Yamaha M1 will work well this weekend.

"We got some good results and points last weekend, but we still have work to do," Quartararo said.

"This is the final GP before the summer break, and the first time we will be riding in front of the Czech fans since 2020, so we have every reason to push as hard as we can.

"I heard that the new asphalt is quite grippy, so hopefully this will help us get some good results again."

Massimo Meregalli, Monster Energy Yamaha Team Director, added: "We're very pleased to return to Brno. This track has a very nice layout, especially for MotoGP. We had a test here two weeks ago with Álex.

"Thanks to that private test, we start this weekend with a base set-up already in place. The Brno track has just been completely resurfaced. It's very smooth and grippy – which is good for us."

Ahead of the 12th round of the 2025 MotoGP World Championship, Quartararo finds himself in 10th in the standings with 87 points to his name and a best finish of second place.
