Despite rumours that Alex Rins may not complete his contract at Yamaha, Paolo Pavesio has claimed they are 'fully committed' to Rins for 2026.
In recent weeks, there have been many rumours surrounding Yamaha's MotoGP line-up for the 2026 season.
The main talking point surrounding the Japanese manufacturer has been focused on the future of Alex Rins in the Monster Energy Yamaha garage.
2025 is Rins' second season with the factory Yamaha squad, but the Spaniard is only 18th in the MotoGP World Championship after 12 rounds. It has been a struggle for Rins as his best Grand Prix result has been tenth, and his best Sprint result has been eighth place.
However, reports from the Grand Prix paddock stated that Rins would not remain in the factory Yamaha garage in 2026, despite having a contract for 2025 and 2026.
But the Managing Director of Yamaha Motor Racing, Paolo Pavesio, has stated that the Japanese manufacturer is 'fully committed' to Rins for the 2026 MotoGP season.
"Alex [Rins] has a contract with us for this year and next year," Pavesio told TNT Sports during Practice.
"We are fully committed to giving him all the support that he needs to get back to his level."
At the end of the Friday afternoon MotoGP Practice session at the Red Bull Ring, Alex Rins missed out on Q2 and ended up in 17th place on the timesheets.
