Nicky Hayden is back in the Honda MotoGP swing of things and is riding for the manufacturer for the first time since he joined Ducati in 2009.

Already, Hayden has done 46 laps with a best so far of 1'32.582 set just before lunchtime and, with his reputation for hard work, he will probably double that number before the day is out. He is currently on the same pace as 2013 team-mate Andrea Dovizioso.

His 2014 Aspar team-mate Hiro Aoyama got to ride the production RCV1000R yesterday but today is Hayden's turn on the new machine.
