Franco Morbidelli will need to undergo further tests to determine whether he will be fit enough to participate in the first MotoGP pre-season test in Malaysia following his accident while riding at Portimao on Tuesday.
The Italian - who joins the 2023 MotoGP Teams' title-winners Prima Pramac Racing this season - was one of 11 current or former GP riders who joined the unofficial Ducati-hosted WorldSBK test in Portugal earlier this week.
However, he'd crash from his stock-spec Ducati Panigale V4 R on the second day of the test, an accident 'big' enough to bring a halt to proceedings at Portimao for a time and necessitate a trip to Faro Hospital.
After being kept in overnight as a precaution, Pramac Racing have confirmed Morbidelli has left Faro Hospital after having a second CT scan, but will return to Alvor to undergo more examinations.

The checks mean his participation in the upcoming Sepang pre-season test - which begins on 10 February and has seen many riders already depart for Malaysia - is in doubt.
Should he be forced to miss all or part of the test, it will come as a big blow for Morbidelli having only spent a single day on the Ducati GP24 in November following his switch from Yamaha Racing
