British Moto2 star Gino Rea has received an unexpected call-up and will replace Alberto Moncayo for the Sepang, Phillip Island and Motegi races with the Argiñano & Ginés squad.
Rea only expected to race in the final Valencia round this year and is looking forward to returning to the scene of his first Moto2 podium at Sepang.
"I am very thankful to the AGR team for this opportunity as it keeps me racing and in the Moto2 paddock for the flyaway races. I am really excited to work with this team and I will be giving it my all to bring them some strong results," said Rea.
"This will be a challenging experience for me, riding for a new team and on a different chassis, the SpeedUp, for the first time at a race weekend. I have demonstrated this year that I can learn fast and I hope to adapt quickly to the bike and team."
