Gold & Goose

The 2025 MotoGP season has made Fabio di Giannantonio a 'better rider compared to previous years'.

Fabio di Giannantonio has described the 2025 MotoGP season as his 'best season in MotoGP' after he ended his year with a third place in the Valencia Grand Prix.

The Italian rider qualified on the front row for the final Grand Prix weekend of the year, and went on to claim a double podium as he secured third place in the Sprint Race on Saturday and the Grand Prix on Sunday.

Despite difficulties at the start of the season due to adapting to the new Ducati GP25, di Giannantonio ended the year with four Grand Prix podiums and five Sprint Race podiums.

"I am so happy, it has been a while since my last double podium in a weekend," di Giannantonio told TNT Sports after the final race of the year.

"I am so happy to finish the season like this. The fight today was amazing, and I enjoyed it so much. I love this track, I enjoy riding here. The race was cool.

"At the beginning, I did not expect Aprilia’s pace to be so strong; I was not able to push like them. In the end, I had a really good rhythm and I was recovering, but it was not enough to reach [Marco] Bezzecchi and Raul [Fernandez].

"But I am super happy, super happy to finish the season like this. I am proud of the team. We have worked so hard through things that were good and things that were not so good."

'There are big smiles for everyone in the team...'

With di Giannantonio ending the year in sixth place in the Championship, and his teammate Franco Morbidelli ending up in seventh, it was a positive year for the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team.

The Italian riders led their Italian team to third place in the MotoGP Teams Championship at the end of the 2025 season.

"It has been a rollercoaster season, a real rollercoaster of emotions, but for sure my best season in MotoGP so far," he explained.

"So, we have to be proud and see all the positive things. I am a better rider compared to the previous years, so there are a lot of positives. As a team, we are more united than ever; next year we will have the same stuff.

"We just have to be super happy; there are big smiles for everyone in the team. Also, in the Teams Championship, I think we are third, so it is a great achievement for the team too. I am proud of them and me."
