Fabio di Giannantonio reacts to his first MotoGP podium at the Italian Grand Prix with the VR46 Racing Team.
For the second time in the 2025 MotoGP World Championship, Fabio di Giannantonio returned to the rostrum.
The Italian was able to claim his first MotoGP podium at the Italian Grand Prix at his home circuit of Mugello.
On the last lap of the race, the Italian 'risked a lot' to pass Francesco Bagnaia for third place and put the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team on the podium.
Although di Giannantonio was not able to catch the Marquez brothers around Mugello, he was able to complete a Ducati 1-2-3 at the Italian manufacturer's home race.
"When I was in fourth that was my pace, I was on the limit," di Giannantonio said after the Italian Grand Prix.
"The laps were going down, Pecco was just there, and I was in P4. I knew that I had to risk a lot to overtake him, but on the last lap I said 'ok, let's go for it'.
"We have done it, my first podium in MotoGP at Mugello, in front of these fantastic fans. I love you guys, I love your energy, it is fantastic to be on the podium here."
Because of this podium, di Giannantonio remains fifth in the MotoGP World Championship and is eight points behind his teammate, Franco Morbidelli.
