'I'm asking Santa for some more horsepower!' - Jack Miller reveals the one gift he wants for Christmas

Gold & Goose

Jack Miller ended his 2025 MotoGP season by joking that he would be asking Santa for extra horsepower next year.

The 2025 MotoGP season was a difficult year for Yamaha and Jack Miller, who made his debut on the Yamaha M1 in the Prima Pramac Racing squad.

Miller featured inside the top ten in Grands Prix on five occasions throughout the 22-race season, and ended the year 17th in the MotoGP World Championship.

One of the Australian rider's top ten finishes came in the final race of the season at Valencia, where he finished in ninth place. However, the #43 believes it could have been more, but he struggled to keep up with the riders around him.

"It was tough. I could think of many ways to explain it," Miller said to TNT Sports after the final race of the 2025 season.

"But it was tough, I pushed to my maximum, but we gave away too much time. The boys are able to manage and maintain pace in the middle of the race, but we are always pushing at every corner; we don’t get a rest.

"I tried to maintain through Turn 13, but you spin too much out of Turn One, Two, Six, Seven, and, of course, the last corner as well. With 10 Laps to go, the left-hand side of the tyre had given up on me, and that was all we could do.

"I tried to manage it over the hill into Turn 13, but out of Turns One and Two, you can’t manage it, you just have to pick it up and squirt it."

'If I can find us 25 horsepower, that would be nice...'

When turning his attention towards the Valencia Test and the 2026 MotoGP season, Miller joked that he would be asking Santa for an extra 25 horsepower for the new 2026 Yamaha M1.

"One big thing to test in particular, we have a new bike," he stated ahead of the Valencia Test.

"It looked like Augusto [Fernandez] had a better weekend this weekend, and the feedback seemed more positive. With a new project like that, it is tough. We have been to many different tracks now, Barcelona, Misano, Malaysia, and now here, they are starting to get a base [setup] for it, and they are starting to understand what the bike needs.

"Having four riders on it, and lot’s of feedback will help speed up that progress. Then I can go home over the winter, and if I can find us 25 horsepower, that would be nice.
