Rumours currently firing round the World Superbike paddock at Donington Park more than intimate that India's Buddh circuit will host the first MotoGP round of the 2013 season instead of Qatar's Losail track.

It is thought that series boss Carmelo Ezpeleta wants to start the calendar earlier next year and a March date in India would go someway to securing a rain-free season opener and it would be a short hop to Doha for round two.

An Indian round would nicely fill in the space left by Estoril's departure and would test the ground nicely for WSBK as the Flammini brothers have also been looking at taking their championship to the country. What would happen to the money paid out by Qatar to be the first round, however, is anyone's guess...
