Daniel Munoz has signed to join Adrian Huertas at the Italtrans Racing Team in Moto2 for the 2026 World Championship.
At the San Marino Grand Prix, the Italtrans Racing Team officially confirmed their 2026 Moto2 World Championship rider line-up.
The Italian team will field two Spanish riders for the 2026 season. Adrian Huertas will remain with the squad for a second season after making his debut in the class this season. He will be joined by fellow Spaniard Daniel Muñoz, who has been riding as a replacement rider in the Red Bull KTM Ajo squad.
Munoz will join the Moto2 squad on a multi-year deal after proving himself in the Moto2 Championship with his maiden podium last time out at the Catalan Grand Prix.
"I’m really happy and excited to join the Italtrans family for the next years," Munoz said.
"It’s a unique opportunity that I want to make the most of. Thank you to the team for believing in me. I can’t wait to get started!"
Laura Bertulessi added: "Our team has always believed in the value of young riders and in supporting their development. With Muñoz, we are investing in a talent who has already shown both character and speed, and who brings with him valuable Moto2 experience.
"We are happy to welcome him into our family and confident we can write another important chapter in the history of our team together.
"We wish Diogo the very best for his future, and on behalf of the entire Italtrans team, we would like to thank him for the wonderful emotions he has given us throughout this season."
