Valentino Rossi is set to attend a minimum of six or seven MotoGP rounds in 2025 with the VR46 Racing Team.
After being absent from the MotoGP paddock since his retirement Valentino Rossi aims to attend 'a minimum of six, seven races' in 2025.
Before the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team reveal Rossi had already announced that he wanted to be more present in the MotoGP paddock. The MotoGP Legend will scale back his car racing commitments to spend more time with the VR46 Racing Team.
The Italian will compete in the World Endurance Championship in 2025, which consists of eight race weekends. Rossi will also compete in the iconic Bathurst 12 Hours this weekend.
During the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team launch in Indonesia the VR46 Team Manager, Uccio Salucci, confirmed Rossi's MotoGP attendance plans.
“Day by day, month by month, Vale is always more inside the MotoGP project because he likes very much his team,” Salucci said when asked by our colleagues at Crash.net about Rossi’s plans for 2025.
“I see his schedule, for sure it is less than last year because he’s doing WEC, less races for him, and he wants to come to a minimum of six, seven races.
“I’m very happy about that because when Vale comes to a race, he doesn’t come for a holiday but to spend a lot of time in our box, with our [VR46 Academy] riders, also with [Fabio] Di Giannantonio.
“And it’s always very important for us to [have] Vale [around] because Vale is Vale. I hope he comes in six or seven races.”
