Pedro Acosta continues to place his faith in KTM despite its difficult start to the 2025 season.
After only three rounds of the 2024 season, the hottest name in the MotoGP rider market is Pedro Acosta.
There have already been rumours suggesting that the Spaniard has been in contact with Ducati, Yamaha and Honda regarding a ride for 2026.
Despite early claims from his manager that Acosta has an 'option' to ride for VR46 next season, the Spaniard himself continues to place his faith in KTM.
"I want to win, that's clear," Acosta told GPOne.
"The relationship between me and KTM is more personal than many people think. I've been racing in these colours since I was 14.
"I will be 21 in the summer. I've been in this family for seven years, it wouldn't be easy to say goodbye.
"The bike will reach the necessary level, I'm sure."
Acosta's current contract status is clear, as he has a deal in place with KTM for the 2026 season.
The Austrian manufacturer has put a lot of faith in the 20-year-old after backing him to his Moto3 and Moto2 titles in 2021 and 2023.
"I am the only one in this paddock who is not in for the money," Acosta claimed.
"I don't even feel any real pressure, no one has put pressure on my shoulders from day one in the company.
"When I was in Moto2, everyone expected me to win the Championship in my first year. Last year, I was the rider with the most crashes, and no one said anything.
"We started well, then it got harder, and no one put pressure on me. We know we still have a long way to go before we can try to win the Championship.
"Pressure is that of someone who is unemployed and has to bring food home. I'm here, and I can do what I love.
"I enjoy riding: if that's the case, good results usually come on their own. Sometimes it's easier, sometimes it's harder, but if I stay calm and happy, the results will come."
