Jake Dixon is set to compete in new colours for the 2024 Moto2 World Championship amid strong speculation that his Aspar Team will switch allegiance to CFMoto branding for next season.
Dixon, who made his Moto2 debut with Aspar in 2019 before returning to the Spanish outfit in 2022 just as it adopted a branding and sponsorship relationship with GasGas, will begin his sixth season in the intermediate class among the title favourites.
However, he looks likely to do so via a fresh affiliation with CFMoto, which owns a sizeable stake in the Pierer Group, parent company of KTM, GasGas and Husqvarna.
The Chinese manufacturer took its first tentative steps in grand prix racing in 2021 by rebranding the PruestelGP effort in Moto3. However, with the German team stepping back from grand prix competition, CFMoto have - according to Speedweek - agreed terms with the Aspar Team instead.
The move will see CFMoto make its first appearance in the Moto2 class on the Kalex chassis of Dixon and team-mate Izan Guevara, plus the Moto3 machines of David Alonso and rookie Joel Esteban.
Dixon achieved two wins en route to fourth in the Moto2 World Championship standings.
