Jake Dixon's time in the Moto2 World Championship has come to an end after a seventh-place finish in Valencia.
After seven years of racing in the Grand Prix paddock, Jake Dixon ended his career as a Moto2 rider at the conclusion of the 2025 season.
The British rider came into the Moto2 World Championship from the British Superbike Championship and has won seven races and taken 15 further podiums during his time in the series.
Dixon ended his final season as a Moto2 rider in fifth place in the Championship, but could have taken third if things had gone his way earlier in the season.
"It has been a good career in Moto2," Dixon told TNT Sports after the Valencia Grand Prix.
"I am really, really happy. To come from where we have come from, it is hard being British, but I am really, really happy with how things have gone.
"Unfortunately, last week I crashed. I was sending it too much last week, and if I had been a bit smarter at that moment, then who knows, today could have been third [in the Moto2 Championship].
"But that is the way the cookie crumbles, so it is all good."
'I cannot wait to start my new adventure...'
Dixon bows out of the Grand Prix paddock with the ELF Marc VDS Racing Team and will move on to World Superbikes with Team HRC in 2026.
"It has been eventful," he stated when talking about his time in Moto2.
"There have been ups and downs, but if you had told me when I came here that I would have 22 podiums and seven wins, pole positions, and fighting at the front most weeks, I would have bitten your hand off.
"I have won for two brands now, which is cool. I don't think many other riders have done that. I have ridden many different bikes, with different suspensions. I have pretty much ridden on every combination of bike in this class, so that is cool.
"It has been a fantastic year, even with the ups and downs. The Marc VDS Team are such a professional team, and I can't thank them all enough; they have worked super hard.
"It was their first year with the Boscoscuro [chassis]. We were the top Boscoscuro this year, and we beat the factory team, who have all the knowledge.
"I am super, super happy, and I cannot wait to start my new adventure."
He added, "Listen, you may love me, or hate me, but I wear my heart on my sleeve."
"I want to look back when I finish in seven or eight years after World Superbikes, I want to look back and say I have given it everything."
