LCR Honda Team Owner, Lucio Cecchinello, revealed what Diogo Moreira told him after riding a MotoGP bike.
At the Valencia Test on Tuesday, the 18th of November, the 2025 Moto2 World Champion, Diogo Moreira, got his first experience on a MotoGP bike.
The Brazilian rider will compete with LCR Honda in the 2026 MotoGP World Championship, and he got his pre-season preparations underway at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo.
Across his first day on track with the Honda RC213V, Moreira completed 57 laps and ended the day in 21st with a 1:31.197 laptime.
However, after his first outing on his new machine, Moreira expressed how 'astonished' he was by the power from a MotoGP bike.
Cecchinello told the MotoGP World Feed, "He said, ‘Lucio, I shit in my pants. He said, fuck, the bike is so, so, so powerful.
"Not fast, but really, really, really fast. Unbelievable, I was astonished. But it is really difficult to understand the braking point."
When asked about his decision to sign Moreira, Cecchinello revealed that he does not know the 21-year-old very well, but believes he shows 'all the signs' to be successful in MotoGP.
"I don’t know him very well, but from looking outside at his racing career, and what everyone says about him," he explained.
"For me, it is fascinating. He is a talented rider; he is really fast in motocross, supermotard, flat track, Moto3, and Moto2. These are all the signs that he will be really fast in MotoGP.
"But we need to give him a little bit of time, and we are more than happy to work with him."
