Marco Bezzecchi will start his home Grand Prix at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli from pole position on the Aprilia RS-GP.
Throughout the three Practice sessions, Marco Bezzecchi had shown a strong pace around the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.
However, his weekend would likely be decided in the all-important 15-minute Qualifying session for the Sprint Race and Grand Prix.
The Italian had only featured on pole position on one occasion during the 2025 season before the San Marino Grand Prix. However, he was able to get himself onto pole position for his home round as he set the fastest lap of the weekend.
But after claiming pole, Bezzecchi kept his expectations low when asked if he had already completed half of the job ahead of the Sprint Race and Grand Prix.
"I think half is a bit too much, I think it is less than half," Bezzecchi told TNT Sports after the Qualifying session.
"Because now we have two races, but it will be important this afternoon, and especially for tomorrow. Qualifying is always a key point, and it was good for me, and because of this, I am really happy.
"So, let's try to keep concentrated, try to work on the details, and make the best out of the races."
During Bezzecchi's pole position lap, his lap time dropped in the third sector, but in the final sector, he was able to improve his lap time and grab his second pole position of the season.
"I gave everything I had," he explained.
"I was risking a little bit, but this is normal in Qualifying. It was good, I felt good with the bike, I enjoyed riding, and I am very happy."
Bezzecchi will be joined on the front row by the BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP rider, Alex Marquez, and the Monster Energy Yamaha rider, Fabio Quartararo.
