Motorcycle racing's governing body, the FIM, has today announced that following a full, independent investigation into raditation levels at Twin-Ring Motegi following the Fukushima nuclear incident, the race will go ahead as planned in October.
The report, which was previewed a couple of weeks ago, has been released in full by the FIM and its conclusion have remained that the level of radiation at Motegi is negligible and there is no danger in spending four days at the track.
Only one clause has been put in by the FIM which states the race will happen 'subject to no further incidents' meaning the plant doesn't go into total meltdown or worse.
