Speed Up’s Sam Lowes has set his sights on a top-eight Moto2 finish at this weekend’s Argentine MotoGP round where he believes a level playing field will play into his hands.
The reigning World Supersport Champion has brushed off the first-corner nerfing which put paid to a top-end challenge in Austin and is now focusing on the Rio Hondo track.
It will be a good level playing field for us all, as it’s a new circuit and no one has raced here before. The track looks ace and I can’t wait to get out there now,” said Lowes.
“I left Austin feeling unlucky so want to put it right this weekend and hope to get a strong top-eight-finish heading to Europe. I’m feeling really positive with both the team and the bike, and excited for FP1.”
