Casey Stoner, Colin Edwards and Nicky Hayden are all relishing the return to more powerful engines in MotoGP next season, with The Texas Tornado joking he would like to see a 1200cc engine with no electronics.
All three were asked their opinion about returning to litre bikes in yesterday's pre-even press conference and here is what they said:
Casey Stoner: "It feels pretty good and the 1000 test brought back some memories. It's nice to have that much torque, you can be a bit more lenient on gear selection, ride in a different way so we will have to see how everyone fares with it. So far, it's exciting to me to have more power as with the 800 you can twist the throttle as much as you can and it doesn't have enough power to spin, so the 1000 is a lot more fun.
Nicky Hayden: "More power is never a bad thing. There are things I enjoy about riding the 800 but I will wait till we really line up and start racing them but it should be good."
Colin Edwards: "I'm the same, next rule change, let's bring out the 1200, take off all the electronics and see what happens."
