Red Bull Ajo's Danny Kent bagged sixth place in a rain-halted 125GP race at Assen's MotoGP round this morning after scrapping with the leaders until the red flags were brought out on safety grounds.
Kent spent a majority of the race in a fight with Efren Vasquez and Johan Zarco and looked to have the measure of the Frenchman but didn't have enough laps to make a pass stick before the race was stopped.
After the lights went out, there was a seven-bike scrap for the lead but winner Maverick Vinales made a break for it at half-distance and no-one had the pace to go with him. Louis Salom and Sergio Gadea occupied the podium spots with Sandro Cortese in fourth.
Danny Webb took 13th place after going away with the leaders in the opening laps while Harry Stafford picked himself up off the floor to take 25th, one place ahead of Taylor Mackenzie. Series leader Nico Terol crashed yesterday, injuring his hand and didn't race.
