M7 Drive’s Nicky Hayden is still in dark on when he will receive any engine upgrades to his Production Honda MotoGP bike but says that it needs to be more than a couple of horsepower.
Hayden has identified that he, and Scott Redding, need more low-rpm grunt to get out of slow corners but the bike’s handling and braking setups are good.
“They have been pretty quiet on it to be honest. We haven’t seen anything and don’t know when it is going to happen. Power can come from different areas, we need a real step to be competitive and to get the bike we thought we were going to get but it’s not a couple of horsepower,” said Hayden, speaking at Austin.
