Britain’s Sam Lowes has been working on his riding style during the first Moto2 free practice sessions to fit around a new seat and tank unit brought to the Brno MotoGP round his team.
The reigning World Supersport Champion is still adjusting to the Speed-Up chassis but said he was able to put together some good laps yesterday afternoon even in the damp conditions.
“It was a good day, because we had some new parts for the bike, a new seat and a tank and they were really good. The team have done a very good job to make it ready for this race because it’s big work,” said Lowes.
“I am trying to change my riding style a little bit for Moto2. In the afternoon we made a big step with the style and even in not so good condition we improved 0.6 the lap time. I am very happy and I think we can keep improving.”
