MotoGP Catalunya: Sidegrip still a 'big problem' for Crutchlow

Monster Yamaha's Cal Crutchlow is still struggling for sidegrip on his YZR-M1 and he says it is a chassis issue not tyres because the problem is occurring on both the hard and soft compound Bridgestones.

The former World Supersport Champion still managed to make it on to the second row and depose nine-time title winner Valentino Rossi but Crutchlow says you always want to chase the riders in front not worry about the ones behind.

"It's going to be a long race because we have got some big problems. I can't get on the gas in turns three and four, I'm struggling with sidegrip. It's sidgrip every time and we don't know why. We've tried ten different things and still it makes no difference on both tyres. One is no worse than the other but it's not a tyre thing, it's the chassis," said Crutchlow.

"You always wanna be faster, it's hard because I'm the last Yamaha. You're always chasing the guys in front. I've got some good guys behind me, but you're always looking in front and here's a four-tenth gap to those guys but that's on soft tyres. I can do my time on a race tyre as well.
