MotoGP Catalunya: ‘We’re running out of time’ - Crutchlow

Ducati’s Cal Crutchlow believes he is running out of time to get some good results under his belt in this year’s MotoGP World Championship after not finishing three races this year and not starting the Argentinian round due to injury.

Crutchlow has only amassed 15 points so far so feels he needs to get down to it this weekend in Mugello and says that assessing the tyre situation is the most important thing to do in the opening practice sessions.

“We need to assess the tyre situation first and foremost. We know we cannot use the harder tyre so we will be using our hardest option straightaway. We need to bounce back after Mugello, re-focus and re-group. We investigated a lot into what happened at Mugello, we believe we know the reasons behind it,” said Crutchlow, speaking at the track.

“We thought the tyre pressure was going up and now we think we know why. The team have brought some things to make me feel better position-wise on the bike, nothing to make the performance better but to make me feel more comfortable.

“We are running out of time to get some good results and I want to be able to start showing my potential again.”
