Rizla Suzuki's Loris Capirossi ripped to the top of the MotoGP final free practice timesheets at a drying Estoril this morning, going half a second faster than reigning world champion Jorge Lorenzo.
The diminutive Italian made good use of a dry line to make his final effort a 1'44.515 compared to the works Yamaha man's 1'45.079, also set on his last outing, while Nicky Hayden parked his Marlboro Ducati in third on his tenth lap of ten.
Team-mate Valentino Rossi was fourth quickest but a massive two seconds off the pace while arch-nemesis Casey Stoner was even slower, lapping in 1'47.676 to take fifth. Ben Spies completed 14 laps but could only manage a 1'52.111 while Cal Crutchlow did three.
