MotoGP Germany: Rea feeling 'positive' ahead of Sachsenring Moto2

Gresini Moto2 star Gino Rea has said he is taking positives from another otherwise disappointing Assen race into this weekend's German MotoGP round at the Sachsenring.

The young Londoner is still getting to grips with the Suter chassis his team changed to mid-season and the German track is another one he has not seen before, so tomorrow's first session will be spent learning which way it goes.

“Assen was disappointing. We found a good setting for the bike and our pace on used tyres in practice was good but we made some small changes for the race and I couldn't even match my pace. The rear tyre quickly lost consistency and grip," said Rea.

"Sachsenring is another new circuit for me and I am interested to see what it is like. We found some positive things at Assen and I want to continue making progress in Germany once I have got my head around the track. So far I have only been round it on the Playstation and it looks like it's short but good fun. I think it will suit my riding style and our bike so I am hoping to reward the team with a good race."
