Marlboro Ducati's Valentino Rossi aggravated the shoulder he injured in a motocross crash halfway through last season when he went down in the opening minutes of MotoGP free practice this morning at the Sachsenring and hopes it does not get worse overnight.
The Doctor lost the front into turn 11 (along with three other people), ripped open his leathers and gouged a hole in his elbow which revealed the muscle. He said the shoulder was not a problem in this afternoon's session but he is afraid it may stiffen up by tomorrow.
"I have hurt my shoulder and this is the main problem because there is movement and I suffer a lot of pain. This afternoon for riding it was not so bad but I hope tomorrow it is not worse," said Rossi.
"Unfortunately the leather broke and after I slide without protection so I have one hole in the elbow but it is not a big problem for ride the bike. It is bad to see because you can look inside and you can understand what goes on inside you, you can see the muscle!"
