Reigning MotoGP World Champion still hasn't been able to test whether the arm-pump that cost him victory at Qatar will raise its ugly head again at Jerez tomorrow as there hasn't been enough dry track time to test it properly.
Much was made of the Australian adjusting his glove while on track today but he dismissed the idea that he was already in trouble, saying it was normal to re-tighten gloves after a few laps.
"It would have been nice to have some solid, dry sessions that we could really test it but until we get into the race, if it is dry, it will be almost impossible to see if we have done anything or not," said Stoner, speaking to bikesportnews.com this evening.
"Like motocross, it would've been better to go out there, put it through some hell and then back off for 15 minutes. Putting it through strain in the first session, ease off and then in the second session again. I think this (so far) will be worse for it because in the wet you don't generate anything like the G-force you do in the dry, so I haven't put my arms through anywhere near enough punishment."
