Yesterday’s runaway MotoGP winner Marc Marquez is running away with the test times in today’s session at Jerez, lapping six-tenths faster than compatriot Jorge Lorenzo while team-mate Dani Pedrosa is third.

Marquez said yesterday he didn’t have much in the way of new stuff to try, while Lorenzo is evaluating a new swingarm. Pedrosa’s aim is to try and eradicate his slow start form from this season and get some early feel into the front Bridgestones.

Neither Cal Crutchlow or Andrea Dovisioso are not out there, preferring to test upgrades at a private test in Mugello while Nicky Hayden is resting his wrist.
