Aussie star Chris Vermeulen got back on a racebike for the first time in eight months at the Le Mans MotoGP round today and said that although it wasn't easy getting used to the brakes and tyres again he is positive about the two sessions.
The former factory Suzuki rider took his only premier class win at Le Mans in the rain and although he is currently at the bottom of the timesheet, he is providing Colin Edwards' NGM Forward crew with some positive feedback.
"It definitely wasn’t easy to start again after about eight months of no riding, to get back in the seat, to feel the brakes and the tyres and this sort of racing bike again but I really enjoyed my time on the bike so far today," said Vermeulen.
"We have a lot of work to do with development on the bike and I think everybody knows that. I hope my feedback is been positive for the team and I’m sure tomorrow we can improve the bike and hopefully go a bit quicker.”
