More rain has dampened the second MotoGP free practice session at Misano this afternoon with none of the series' front-runners turning a wheel which resulted in Karel Abraham and James Ellison topping the timesheet.
The track looked to be drying out towards the middle of the session and Ellison took advantage with a 1'43.204 but then Abraham, on a satellite Desmosedici, then went a second quicker. The heavens then opened which stopped any meaningful action at all.
Britain's Jonathan Rea did get out for a couple of laps but then parked it. It will be frustrating for the young Irishman as he has now missed out on 90 minutes of much-needed track time on Casey Stoner's RC213V.
