Movistar Yamaha’s Valentino Rossi has said that he thinks team-mate Jorge Lorenzo is the man to beat in tomorrow’s Misano MotoGP as he has been fast through all of today’s dry sessions but added you can never rule out Marc Marquez.
Lorenzo starts tomorrow’s race from pole with Rossi third while Marquez is on the second row for the first time this year. The Doctor was quickest in free practice four while Marquez struggled for grip. When asked who he thought was the biggest threat, Rossi said:
“Difficult to say. Today I want to say Jorge. He is fast in practice and is the man to beat but you never know with Marc, he is a bastard! For sure he will try tomorrow more than 100 per cent for win, so we have to wait the race.
“I hope Valentino, but I hope he finish behind me,” added Lorenzo when asked the same question.
