Monster Yamaha's Cal Crutchlow gritted his teeth to finish tenth and only 1.3s off the pace in this morning's MotoGP warm-up session despite going to hospital yesterday after a big free practice crash.

Early reports stated the Coventry man had broken his ankle but that was later downgraded to a bad sprain. He went to Oxford Hospital to have precautionary scans and was passed fit for warm-up by Silverstone medical staff. He now has to undergo a second check before he is cleared to race.
