Monster Yamaha's Cal Crutchlow goes into this weekend's British MotoGP round at Silverstone finally knowing which way the track goes so he will be able to spend Friday practice sorting his setup instead of learning the circuit.
Out of the races so far, Crutchlow has only ridden at Qatar and Silverstone before. He won both World Superbikes races here and outpaced everyone all weekend and jokes he hopes it will be that easy this weekend.
"Most of the time on the first we ride around saying we've got a load of problems but half the time its me running off the track or not knowing which way the next corner goes so it's nice to know which way this place goes. At least we don't have a waste any time on the Friday," said Crutchlow on the eve of first practice.
"It's a shame we've got a different start/finish line but it's going to be good. In World Superbikes here I had pole position, two races wins and two fastest laps, I don't think it's going to be that easy this weekend, I hope it is but I will try my best."
