MotoGP Valencia: Smith fit but will have to 'man up' for race

Tech3 Moto2 rider Bradley Smith has been declared fit to race after the massive Sepang highside which saw him taken to hospital but the 20-year-old has admitted he will have to 'man up' as he expects plenty of pain and discomfort.

Smith cracked his collarbone and bruised a lung in the accident which necessitated scans in hospital. He was discharged the same day and has spent the last ten days recovering in England.

“I’ve got the ok to ride but I will have to man up when I get to Valencia because there is going to be plenty of pain and discomfort. We will strap up the collarbone for maximum comfort and mobility. I won the 125 cc race there last year and I’m so pleased I can ride because I’ve been really motivated to get back out there and race ever since the crash in Malaysia," said Smith.
