Nicolo Bulega was given his highly anticipated first Test on Ducati's MotoGP machine at the Michelin World Superbike Test.
During the Michelin World Superbike Tyre Test, Nicolo Bulega was able to test the Ducati Desmosedici GP25 and experience a MotoGP machine for the first time in his career.
Originally, the test was meant to take place on Wednesday and Thursday. However, due to rain on Wednesday, track action only took place on Thursday, the 30th of October.
This test was paramount for the Italian, as he wanted to gain track time and experience on a MotoGP machine before deciding if he would replace the recovering Marc Marquez at the Portuguese and Valencia Grand Prix in November.
Initially, Bulega was supposed to spend the entirety of Wednesday, the 29th of October, on his Superbike and Test the new Michelin tyres, which will enter the series in 2027. Which would then be followed by an entire day on the MotoGP machine on Thursday.
However, due to the weather conditions, Bulega spent Thursday morning on his Ducati Panigale V4 R on the Michelin World Superbike tyres, and later switched to the Desmosedici in the afternoon as his MotoGP experience began.
There are no official times from Bulega's first Test on a MotoGP machine, as it was held at a private test, where Michele Pirro and Pol Espargaro were also testing for Ducati and KTM.
As well as experience for his supposed replacement rides at the end of the 2025 MotoGP season, Bulega will also become a Ducati MotoGP Test Rider next season, as he aids the series and manufacturer ahead of their switch to Pirelli in 2027.
