Pecco Bagnaia will remain with the factory Ducati Lenovo Team for the 2025 and 2026 MotoGP World Championship seasons after agreeing a new two-year deal with the Italian marque.
The announcement comes just days before the double World Champion begins in his quest to make it a hat-trick of MotoGP titles with Ducati.
Bagnaia made his MotoGP debut in 2019 with Pramac Ducati on the back of winning the Moto2 World Championship title a year earlier before being promoted to the full-factory seat in 2021.
After reeling off a series of strong results towards the latter end of the year to finish runner-up to Fabio Quartararo in the overall standings, the Italian has gone on to win both in 2022 and 2023 for Ducati’s first titles since Casey Stoner in 2007.
In that time he has won 18 MotoGP races, 35 podiums and 18 pole positions.
"I am so happy to continue racing with the team of my dreams! Wearing these colours is an honour for me. It's fantastic and a source of pride.
“Together with Ducati, my team, and all the guys at Ducati Corse, we've achieved incredible things. In these three more years (including 2024) ahead of us, we'll continue to give our best to achieve as much success as possible.
“I am overjoyed and ready to hit the track in Qatar for the first race of the year."
Bagnaia becomes the first rider of the year to officially a new deal for the following seasons though there are strong rumours Moto2 star Fermin Aldeguer has penned a contract with Pramac Racing for 2025.
