Marc Marquez has called for more 'respect' for himself and Alex Marquez after recent social media comments.
Despite two big crashes on Friday, Marc Marquez went on to claim victory in the Sprint Race and Grand Prix at the Dutch TT.
The Spaniard was unbeatable in both races and controlled the pace at the front despite not feeling '100%'.
"I would not say a perfect weekend because Friday was quite tricky," Marquez told MotoGP.com.
"But we were able to take the maximum points, so I am super happy. Because I think we won today and yesterday without riding in the best way, I do not feel like I was the fastest out there.
"I managed the race well, I am happy, but not 100% because my father told me Alex has injured one of his fingers, and he needs surgery.
"He is my main opponent at the moment. I want him on the race track, especially since he is my brother. I wish the best to him, and I will try to help him to come back at the same level he has been at."
Across the last few race weekends, Marc Marquez and his brother Alex have come under fire on social media for not fighting with each other. But Marc has now called for people to 'respect' him and his brother more.
"I knew that Marco Bezzecchi would be faster at Turn 11 and 12," he explained.
"But if I am on the correct line, I knew he would not be able to overtake me, like yesterday.
"I was reading social media, and people were saying that Alex was not trying because he is my brother, but today, Marco did not try.
"This is racing, and everybody needs to respect everybody, because everybody is pushing to 100%. My brother loves me, and I love him, but we are both trying to win.
"He is trying to defend the Gresini colours and I am trying to defend the Ducati colours."
Marquez has now done the double at the last three race weekends at circuits he has not had the best results at in the past.
But even with his large Championship lead, the factory Ducati rider knows that injuries could still derail his season.
"This year it looks like I am winning at the difficult circuits and making mistakes at my favourites," he stated.
"Even like this, we have built up a very good advantage in the Championship. But as we have seen on Friday and today, this is racing, this is MotoGP, injuries are part of the game.
"In the second part of the season, we will have many races in a row, back-to-backs so we need to take care of everything."
