British Moto2 star Scott Redding has taken his first tentative steps on the Kalex-chassied MarcVDS bike he will race next season but was forced to do so in the rain as it is heaving down at Valenica this morning.

The team have split with partners Suter and will campaign the Kalex frame in 2012. The Swiss-based company built the chassis on which Stefan Bradl won this year's World Championship.
