Nine-time world champion Valentino Rossi says he would consider a return to the Suzuka Eight-Hours but only when his MotoGP career is over.
The Doctor won the prestigious endurance race in his only attempt when he teamed up with Colin Edwards in 2001 but afterwards said never again. However, Rossi said this afternoon at Misano he would do it again with Yamaha.
“I like a lot the race and I love to make also with Yamaha. For me it can be. But the problem is not during the MotoGP season, so maybe when I stop. Sincerely, now I am too old and we don’t have time to make the Eight-Hours,” said Rossi at the track.
“In reality, the only week or ten days when we have the holiday between the first part and the second par, so if you spend that week in Suzuka it is a big stress physically and mentally so you can pay in the second half but maybe in the future when I stop, I want to try with Yamaha, is a great race.”
