Ducati MotoGP Filippo Preziosi has joked that Valentino Rossi is currently like a caged lion and he will be very dangerous once the engineers have allowed him to unlock the potential of the Desmosedici GP11.1.
Preziosi was speaking at a press conference and was asked if Ducati had made any noises about an increase in the number of official test days next year. He said they hadn't but other teams had asked for a reduction to try and keep The Doctor in check.
"The other companies ask for reduce the tests just for Valentino. They know how dangerous he is especially as now the lion is in a cage so when we open the cage it is very dangerous. I think we will do what the other companies thinks are in the interests of the championship so we are not asking for more," said Preziosi.
"We don't think the crucial point is the number of days, the crucial point is to interpret the information that comes from our riders in the right way, design the right part, test properly the parts and the last thing is to have the right rider, but we have that."
