MarcVDS Moto2 title challenger Scott Redding has declared himself happy with the new Kalex chassis he will race this season after a 'steady' test at Valencia which saw him finish seventh on the timesheets.
Redding spent three days getting to grips with the new chassis and was only three-quarters of a second off the pace set by Pol Espargaro on a 1'34.577.
"We've had a steady test, working to get a good feeling with the new bike rather than pushing for fast lap times. The important thing for me is that we have a good understanding of how the 2013 Kalex compares to last year's version; where it's stronger and how it reacts to set-up changes. Next week we'll try to make a few more improvements, before working to close the gap to the top of the timesheet," said the Brit.
