Gold & Goose

Francesco Bagnaia was able to end a difficult 2025 season on a positive note with improvements at the Valencia Test.

The 2025 MotoGP season was a disaster for two-time World Champion, Francesco Bagnaia, but he ended his year on a positive note.

During the Valencia Test, Bagnaia, as well as Fabio di Giannantonio and Alex Marquez, was able to test the new fairing that Ducati has developed for the GP26.

Overall, the test went well for Bagnaia, as he revealed he was able to find improvements on front end feeling of his Desmosedici, but he knows it will take further work to perfect.

"Honestly, happy that the things were going well. I started the day with the previous 2026 [bike] and it worked well," Bagnaia said after the Test.

"We managed to do a good job all day, the feeling on braking and entry was much better. So, now we will check, understand, and analyse everything to understand the situation and to try to have this feeling.

"Very happy about the things we tried and happy with the new fairing that looks good, but we need to do more laps because this track is not very good for the aerodynamics, so we will try again in the future."

As well as the new fairing, the Italian also tried other parts to the Ducati GP26, but his new parts were not as visible as the fairijg that he tested.

"We just tried things more hidden inside, and are new things," he explained.

"This test is very difficult to take decisions, so it was more important to start to test new things, but not exaggerating with the new bike completely."

Bagnaia will be back on track with the rest of the MotoGP field at the Sepang Test next year between the 3rd and 5th of February.
